Dear Aaron by Mariana Zapata

Available on Kindle Unlimited

Not your typical romance with more smut than love, this is sweet, slow love story that begins with a girl writing to a soldier in the deserts of Iraq.  A friendship grows as they get to know one another, and continues when he comes home.  I love how real the  characters are, and how they each have real feelings and misgivings.  I love how each have real world problems that anyone can relate to.  I also love how real the feelings of Aaron are about what he is going through during his deployment, without being too detailed about technical things.  It really makes you think about the plight of our guys in uniform. This story is definitely one that warrants a reread, and is likely to become one of my favorites.
