Bound by Blood by Piper Davenport

I received an ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review.
I’ve read Piper Davenport’s Dogs of Fire books, and knew that this was totally different, so I wasn’t sure what to expect. Boy was I in for a surprise!
This story started out like any other romance. Dr Samantha Moore moves to Scotland to work for a pharmaceutical research company owned by the family of the hero, Dr Kade Gunnach. They are attempting to find a cure for a blood disorder that is threatening his family member. She walks into the company on her first day and BAM! Kade falls in love at first sight. There is an undeniable pull between the two.
Sam and Kade are such a beautiful couple! And so amazing together! I love this story! I love how they are together. I love the support from the family members. I love how you don’t find out exactly what is going on until Kade reveals everything to Sam. And what a reveal! I would consider this a paranormal romance, and I love that the “paranormal” part is unlike anything else that I’ve ever read. I also love that it plays a part in the story, but the story is mostly about their love for each other.
And then there are the crazy folks. Someone is trying to cause trouble. Someone is trying to kill someone else. There is just enough drama to keep the story going without being overwhelming.
This story has it all: Insta-love, an exotic location, paranormal elements, familial love as well as betrayal, drama, ex girlfriends, and so much more. This is an amazing beginning to a very interesting series. I can’t wait for the next book!
