Reminding Avery by Kaylee Ryan

Blurb:

Most of the guys in my town had me marked as off limits. My dating history was slim to none, until Dylan. He didn’t let labels deter him from sweeping me off my feet.

The day Avery Stanton took a chance on me is that day my life changed. Nothing else mattered but her. All I ever wanted was for her to be happy. I just wanted to love her, no matter how much distance was between us.

Dylan Knight wrecked me. He made me fall in love with him and then took it all away. Now I’m back, and I can’t deal. How do I pretend that he no longer owns my heart when all my heart does is scream his name?

Avery’s back and I know I have a fight on my hands. I remember every minute, every touch, every kiss, and every breath of our time together. Now I need to remind her.

My Review:

This has gotta be the sweetest second chance romance that I’ve ever read!  Unlike a lot of this type of story, where you get a brief description of the initial relationship and break up, Kaylee Ryan has taken the time to give us the full story of the sweet, high school love between Dylan and Avery.  It really built the story up, and gave it a lot of depth that might not have been there otherwise.  It totally took the story to a different level.  The second part of the story is, of course, his attempts to win her back and her attempts to resist him.

I love how amazing Dylan and Avery are together.  I love how selfless Dylan is, even though he is only an 18 year old that just graduated high school.   I love how supportive both of their families are.  I love how real the characters are, and how neither are completely perfect.

Like all of Kaylee’s stories, there is an element of Insta love, but that doesn’t detract from the realism of the story at all.  It just lends an amazing beauty to the story.

Love, love, love this book!
