Bound by Light by Piper Davenport

Thane Allen is the biggest movie star on the planet. He has money, status, and the ability to make people do what he tells them to with just a word. But he’s without his mate and is losing hope that he will ever find her.

Sydney Warren has lost both her parents and makes a daring choice to move to London to live with her cousin. A chance encounter puts her in the path of what she considers nothing more than a fantasy, until that fantasy pursues her.

Will Thane be able to convince her he’s genuine?

When a threat no one saw coming threatens Sydney’s life, will Thane be able to save her?

My Review:

I’ve enjoyed all of the Cauld Ane Series so far.  I think this one might be my favorite!  Thane (mentioned previously in the series) is a popular actor, as well as Cauld Ane.  Sydney is human, and at a particularly vulnerable point in her life.  Missing her mother, she moves to London to be with her remaining family.  She runs into Thane, but thinks there is no way a famous actor could be interested in a “nobody” like her.  However, like with all of the Cauld Ane, Thane recognizes her as his mate, and will stop at nothing to get her to see what she means to him.

Thane is a very down to Earth man, surprising for a famous actor, and Sydney is a very likable, friendly woman, who has trouble swirling around her.  There is lots of action, surprises, and even some visits with characters from previous books.  I love the little movie reference that Piper has thrown in there!  (Not gonna go any further with that, you’re just gonna have to read it to find out!)

This has been a wonderful series, and Bound by Light was a great addition to the Cauld Ane world!  I can’t wait to see what the author has up her sleeve next!
