Every Moment with You (Redeeming Love, #1) by J.E. Parker

Two broken hearts. One second chance.

I’ve loved Hendrix Cole ever since I was a little girl.
From the moment I first saw him, I knew that one day, he’d be mine.
And he was. At least… until he threw it all away.
I gave Hendrix my heart and he shattered it into a million pieces.
I begged him not to leave. Still, he walked away.
It’s been six years since I’ve seen him.
But now a cruel twist of fate just brought us face-to-face.
He swears he never meant to hurt me.
He begs me for another chance.
I still love him. Always have. Always will.
But can I trust him?
Losing him once almost killed me.
I won’t survive if it happens again.

I’ve loved Maddie Davis ever since I was a kid.
From the moment I first saw her, I knew that one day, she’d be mine.
I was right.
Maddie gave me her heart and I gave her my ring.
But like the screw-up my father says I am, I blew it.
Before I could explain, she vanished.
Our love? Gone in the blink of an eye.
I know I hurt her and I hate myself for it.
Now she’s back.
This is my chance.
I won’t let her walk away.
Not again.
Maddie is mine.

Every Moment with You (Redeeming Love, #1)

Every Moment with You by J.E. Parker

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This is the first book that I’ve read from this author, and it definitely will not be the last. My emotions were all over the place. From the wonder of first love, to the horror that comes with a breakup, to the hope of a second chance, this book kept me on my toes. There were times that I kind of thought I knew what was coming next, but there was always a twist that came up to prove me wrong.

Hendrix had a tragic childhood, that followed him into his adulthood. The only bright spot was Maddie. Their childhood love was instant and pure. Then tragedy struck again, and tore them apart. Neither one handled the break up well. The emotions that they felt was so clear, it ripped me up. It just seems like these two characters were not meant to be happy. One bad thing after another kept happening.

This book was full of tragedy and surprises. Not only was it an awesome example of a second chance love, it also showed that no matter how bad you screw up, there is always a possibility of redemption. I thoroughly enjoyed this story, and I’m looking forward to finding out what else this author has up her sleeve!
