My Review:

The Legacy of Falcon Ridge (The McLendon Family Saga, #8)The Legacy of Falcon Ridge by D.L. Roan

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This book begins with the events surrounding Dani and Clay’s wedding. But this book is about so much more. I’ve loved the McLendons from the very first time I picked up Con, Car, and Breezy’s book. I immediately had to go back to read their parents’ book. Since, I’ve (im)patiently waited for each new release, becoming more and more invested in their family. Legacy takes everything one step further, wrapping up things left unfinished, and even hinting at things that might come in the future!

I love getting glimpses of “after the happy ever after”. That is exactly what this book is. We get glimpses of the relationships that were focused on in the other books of the series. We get hints of the day to day life, the everyday struggle that these relationships go through. It makes the characters seem more realistic, more down to earth.

There were so many emotions in this book. Excitement, hope, sadness, outrage, and even disbelief! There were lots of laughs, and more than a few tears. As much as I loved this book, I really hated saying goodbye to the McLendon family. This book is definitely a must read for any McLendon fan!
