Beyond the Bases by Kaylee Ryan

Blurb:

What happens when you want more in life than just running the bases?

You hang out at home plate and stop playing the field.

He’s sexy and irresistible. I’ve done my best to ignore the magnetism that flows between us. I don’t need complications in my life. I can’t get wrapped up in his world, the last thing I need is to get attached to a professional athlete. I don’t have time for heartbreak.

Something about her pulls me in. I want to get to know her. I want a chance to show her I’m more than just my career, my paycheck. I’m the man for her. I know I am. No matter how much she resists this connection between us. It doesn’t change the fact that she’s my grand slam.

My Review:

Beyond the BasesBeyond the Bases by Kaylee Ryan

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Forgive the pun, but this book is a total HOME RUN! This book has something for everyone. Sports romance. Single mother. Insta-love. They all combine to make an amazing story that really hits you in the feelings. This sweet love story is guaranteed to make you swoon, tear up, and laugh out loud!

Larissa is one of those characters that just connect with you, grabs your heart, and won’t let go. She has a lot going on in her life, has been hurt by events out of her control, and has a wall around her heart to keep others out. She is resistant to Easton’s charms, no matter how thick he lays it on or how hard he tries to get her attention. She is an enigma, her head isn’t swayed by who or what he is, and that just enthralls him even more. He is determined to do whatever it takes to make her his own. He knows how hard life can be, and how great it can be. He just needs to sway her to his way of thinking.

This book…..emotional, sweet, purely amazing! One of the top books of the year, for sure! Everything that makes a romance novel worth reading, and so much more. The writing is perfect, the characters are so real, the words so descriptive, I felt like I was experiencing the events right along with them. This book is a MUST read for anyone who loves romance!
