Bedfellows by Lola Leighton
I wasn’t looking to fall for one man. Let alone two…
Sullivan and Will are as close as two friends can be. Growing up in the system forced them to rely on each other, and they’ve become accustomed to sharing everything—including women.
Now they’re ready for more. To find love. To start a family. To see the dreams they’ve shared since childhood come true.
Apparently I tick off every box on their list—brains, beauty, and sass. I never hesitate to put both men in their places—which they find sexy as hell.
One problem, I’m a traditional girl, with traditional values—one man, one woman, till death do us part—kind of values.
They’re willing to work to prove how very right the three of us could be, but what happens next is anyone’s guess…
Warning: This book is packed with hot, passionate love that doesn’t know any boundaries, so sit back, enjoy and get ready for a smutily-ever-after.
My rating: 5 of 5 stars
I knew, before beginning, that this book was written under a pseudonym, that it was a well known author, branching out, stepping outside of her comfort zone. However, I did not know which author it was, so I had no preconceived notions about what was coming, no expectations about what I was getting into. Now that I know who the author is, I can see the humor, and bits of the writing style from previous, much loved books. But, boy oh boy, was this book different!
Adrienne is having a bad day. A no good, very bad day. And then it just gets worse! Adrienne was brought up by ultra conservative parents, but she had a good child hood. Now she is a sweet, hard working adult. Even though she is young, she has accomplished much, and is happy with her life. Sullivan and Will, on the other hand, were brought up in a group home, the product of the foster care system. They only had each other, and were determined to stay together. The lived together, had a business together, and had decided to share their relationships! As out of the ordinary as that is, it had worked for them so far.
This book has lots of humor, and all of the angst that I love when looking for a romance. The heat is off the charts, the writing is superb, the characters fun and well developed, and the story line of the book was interesting. If you enjoy this author’s work (and no, I’m not sharing! You’ve gotta find out on your own!) you NEED to read this book! It definitely accomplishes what I think she set out to do, stepping outside that box, but still keeping with the humor and HEA that I want in a story! It was a great romance, one that kept me reading!
