The Rockstar Series Bundle – Books 1 – 14: Limited Edition by Anne Mercier

My favorite Rockstar Series, all in one place!

Falling Down (Rockstar #1)Falling Down by Anne Mercier

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This is one of those books….you know the ones I’m talking about. The ones that you can read over and over and it never gets old. This book is so full of fun, and family, and laughs. It’s made up of someone attaining nearly impossible dreams. It’s got all of the elements of an epic love story, set in the world of Rockers. What more can you ask for?!?

This story starts with young Lucy. She is on her way to Hollywood, leaving home with her mother, sister, and brother. At the airport, she runs into her CRUSH! We all had them. A movie star, an athlete, a rock star. The one that we know we will never meet, but touches our heart in all the right places. But Lucy runs into him, and there is a spark of…something. Sadly, it’s not the right time, and they go their separate ways.

Years go by, and Lucy grows up. She makes it big in Hollywood, but it isn’t really what she wants. Everything changes when Lucy and her sister, Sera, get pulled in to do a Rock video. With her CRUSH! Jesse Kingston, and his band Falling Down. The spark is still there. And it catches fire! The heat between Jesse and Lucy is off the charts!

This book is at times sweet, and at other times crazy HOT! Jesse and Lucy are amazing together, and their friends and family are crazy funny! This book was fun to read, and I absolutely loved it to pieces! Definitely recommend to anyone looking for a funny read, a rocker read, or just an amazing love story!

Blush (Rockstar #2)Blush by Anne Mercier

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Blush and Falling Down are on Tour!!!!! This book picks right up where the last one left off. After a drunken Vegas wedding, both bands are hitting the stage hard….and there are lots of surprises headed their way! These two groups are more family than band mates and this leads to some hilarious times on the tour bus.

Jesse, lead singer of Falling Down, has a history of being a…..well lets say he was a playboy and leave it at that. His fans are having a bit of trouble coming to terms with his marriage to Lucy, and Jesse is having a little trouble showing them where that line is that they aren’t supposed to cross. This leads to some drama, and some hard feelings. Lucy loves Jesse, and she knows that Jesse loves her too. She just isn’t sure that she is good enough for him. But Jesse knows that she is perfect for him, he just has to figure out how to prove it to her.

Jesse, Lucy and their two bands, along with a whole host of “family” run into groupies, crazy family, and more than a few surprises, good and bad, as they set out on the BFD tour. As I read about their antics, there were more than a few times I found myself laughing out loud, gasping in surprise, or crying a couple of tears. I love these guys, and can’t wait to find out what comes next!

A Very Xander Christmas (Rockstar #3)A Very Xander Christmas by Anne Mercier

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Told by Xander, this is a novella that is not to be missed! His quirky sense of humor lends a bit of hilarity to the festivities that are Christmas Eve at Casa Falling Down. All of the family is gathered around, exchanging gifts (and insults!) and eating a feast. This book starts with a seriously HOT scene, and ends with a very Xander Christmas poem! This novella gives a bit of an inside look at who Xander is, and also introduces a bit of a mystery……

Amplify (Rockstar #4)Amplify by Anne Mercier

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Oh boy! Here it is! I knew, reading through the first 3 books, there was something big going on with Sera, and that Cage was involved. But I had no clue how huge it was!

Sera is protective, and strong, and loves hard but she had a rough childhood. Her parents were killed by a rival Family, and she found their bodies. That’s traumatizing for anyone, and no doubt had a huge impact on her entire life from there on out. I can only imagine how hard it would be to not close out everyone, just to protect her heart. It would totally take an amazing man to break through that wall……

Cage is a mystery. He holds everything close to his chest: his past, his feelings, even parts of his present. But he is pulled to Sera, just as much as she can’t resist him. There is no doubt that they belong together. Miscommunication, lack of trust and an evil traitor work to keep them apart.

This book is as sad as it is exciting. There were tears shed at times, and quite a few places that had my heart beating fast. My emotions were all over the place, just the way I like it! IMHO, a book isn’t good if I don’t feel it! And I definitely felt this one! Sera’s emotions were so real, I could feel them. This was a book that the author must have put her heart and soul into, and that’s what separates a good book from an excellent one!

Interlude (Rockstar #5)Interlude by Anne Mercier

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Do you ever wonder, when you are reading a book, what is going on in the other person’s mind? Do you ever wonder what is going on from the other viewpoint of story? This book gives you that!

This book takes bits and pieces of Jesse and Lucy’s story, and bits and pieces of Sera and Cage’s story, and flips the script. We get details that we weren’t given before, which enlightens us to some of the emotions and thoughts behind the events of those books. It’s definitely interesting!

We are also introduced to the Blush Baby! There are some heated hints at what is coming next! This book really is exactly what it’s advertised to be: a fun “Interlude” between books, an introduction to what we have to look forward to!

Ballad (Rockstar #6)Ballad by Anne Mercier

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

It’s the Blush Baby’s turn at her HEA! But it doesn’t come easy to her, she has to fight for it, just like everything else in her life. I think, out of the entire series, Nicole is my favorite character. Despite the horrible hand she has been dealt by life, she still has an amazing attitude and out look on life. She knows what she wants, and takes no excuses for why she can’t have it. When Ben is being stubborn, she just shrugs her shoulders and decides to enjoy life. I hate what she goes through, but I’m glad it made Ben come around. It is such an amazing story, and I love how he stands by her through it all.

This is a poignant, sweet story, that will totally bring tears to your eyes. Tough guy Ben falls hard and fast, and fights it even harder, until he just can’t fight any more. It’s a tough story, emotional, but Nicole is a fighter, and I never had any doubt that she’d get everything she wanted in life!

Lullabye (Rockstar #6)Lullabye by Anne Mercier

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

It’s time for the Kingston babies to be born! But of course, like with anything in this crazy group, nothing goes as planned! There are always lots of surprises that pop up! Some are exciting, some are sad. Lots of laughs, and a few tears, some tense moments, and some action, keep this novella moving from beginning to end. Catch up with some favorite characters, meet some new ones. This story is a fabulous connection between stories, a great way to catch up, and a sneak peak into what’s to come!

A Very Xander Christmas 2 (Rockstar #6.5)A Very Xander Christmas 2 by Anne Mercier

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

It’s the K-Quads first Christmas, and we get another quick peek into the fabulousness that is Xander! We meet Tera, but still don’t quite know who she is. We know she is important to him, but she is still a total mystery! Lots of hints, but still lots of questions! Looking forward to whatever comes next in this crazy world of BFD!

Kadence (Rockstar #9)Kadence by Anne Mercier

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Jace was an enigma going into this book. Very little was known about him from before the band was reformed. This explains so much about his life, how he got where he is, his attitude about certain things. ***Warning: Big, huge ugly cry at the beginning!*** I want to be mad at his ex, but can’t because of the situation (very frustrating!). I love the way Kadence is totally accepted by everyone (but I did not expect anything else from these Rockers!) I love the twists that are thrown in there about Summer’s past. And I absolutely LOVE the references to the other rocker books that were included (of course, I had to go read those too! Thanks for that BTW!) With all of the ups, downs, and sideways, I was immersed in this book from the beginning to the end!

A Very Xander Christmas 3 (Rockstar #10)A Very Xander Christmas 3 by Anne Mercier

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Another Christmas with the BFD Crowd. The babies are a year old now, and driving their parents crazy, getting in to everything! The family is getting bigger. And Xander is getting impatient! This is just one more step, closer to his HEA!

Duet (Rockstar #11)Duet by Anne Mercier

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Originally published in Alphas & Fairytales: A New Year’s Eve Anthology, this is an expanded version. This is a quick glance at everyone’s favorite rockstar couple, Sera & Cage having a night of fun at a MMA event. Its nice to visit couples from previous stories, and see them just as in love as ever!

Xander Part 1 (Rockstar #12)Xander Part 1 by Anne Mercier

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

After finishing Xander & Tera’s story, I can honestly say, it was worth the wait. I wasn’t sure how I was going to feel about this book coming in, with the bits of back story I’d gotten from the other books in the series. There is nothing else that I hate worse than cheating. Their story was a riot of emotions, from beginning to end. As much as I love Xander’s personality in previous books, I was prepared to hate him, after finding out about Tera. But I have to say, it is explained in such a way that I don’t feel that way about Xander. The story left me with big, ugly tears, and a hope for happiness for them both. There are so many things for them to overcome, to be together, and just knowing that, in the end, it will all work out, makes the tears worth it. This was a beautiful beginning to their story, full of love, heartache, tears, and hope.

A Very Rockstar Holiday Season (Rockstar #13)A Very Rockstar Holiday Season by Anne Mercier

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I’ve always enjoyed these novellas by Anne Mercier that allow readers a glimpse of life of their favorite characters. This novella is mostly about Ben and Nicole. As much as I’ve loved all of the stories and characters from the Rockstar series, right from the beginning of Ballad, I knew Ben and Nicole were going to be my favorite couple of the series. Nicole is such a tragic character and pulled out such crazy feelings. And Ben, even though he was a jerk to begin with, while he was fighting his feelings, he became such an amazing support system for Nicole, right when she needed it. This novella is no different in how it made me feel about Nicole and Ben. The feelings of hope, love and family continued. The amazing support shown by all of the characters just fills me with feelings that are indescribable. This novella is perfect addition to the Rockstar series!

Xander: Part 2, The Present (Rockstar #14)Xander: Part 2, The Present by Anne Mercier

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This is part 2 of Xander and Tera’s story, (a duet, within a series!) It’s labeled “The Present”, while part 1 takes place in the past, and tells their back story. It definitely needs to be read first, and ends on a crazy cliff hanger! (OMG, I thought I was gonna loose my mind! The ending had me shouting at my e-reader, “no, that can’t be the end!”) It definitely left me eagerly anticipating Part 2!

Xander is a hilarious character, that right from the beginning you can’t help but fall in love with. He brings out a light-hearted feel to the entire series, that makes him a favorite for everyone. However, even in the first books in the series, there is always an air to mystery to him, like you know there is more to him, something that he isn’t sharing with everyone. We find out what it was in Part 1, and it really shredded my heart. The horrendously tragic events that struck Xander and Tera left me with tears in my eyes. Book 2 goes into more details about the events that kept them apart, after the tragic event. As much as we all love Xander, be prepared to want to throttle him! (I totally wanted to shake him and ask, what the heck were you thinking?!?)

Tera is a woman who totally fits Xander, but events prevent her from being who she could be, who she wants to be. She is an artist, and there is a long history between the two. Theirs could have been a sweet story of a childhood friendship that blossomed into a great romance, had things been different. She is so strong, and works so hard to regain what she lost. It is really inspiring, and makes you think about what it would be to live the way she did. I can’t help but be glad she had such an amazing support system.

This book was eagerly anticipated, and definitely lived up to the expectations that I have of this author (this series is at the top of my go to for rereads in the rocker Genre) I was afraid that there was no way anyone could live up to those expectations, but she totally knocked it out of the park. If I could give it 10 stars I would!!!!! I’m so glad to see Xander and Tera happy. (It was also amazing to get to visit with the rest of the BFD crew!) I can’t wait to see what she comes up with next!
