Every Tear You Cry (Redeeming Love, Book 4) by J.E. Parker

Two broken families. One second chance.

Marriage almost killed me.
All I ever wanted was my Prince Charming.
Instead, life gave me a monster.
That nightmare is over, but my sons and I will never be the same.
I’ll do anything to make them happy. Anything except fall in love again.
But when Brantley and his daughter come into our lives, my resolve fades.
I try to fight my feelings but it’s pointless. Truth is, I’m already falling in love with him.
I only pray he doesn’t break what’s left of my heart.

Marriage left me jaded.
My gold-digging ex-wife only wanted me for my money.
When she walked away she left me with a million reasons to remain single.
And one precious reason to keep moving forward.
My little girl is my entire world, and I’m happy to keep it that way.
I’ve sworn off women, but when I meet Clara and her boys, that changes.
The heart wants what it wants, and mine wants her.
Bottom line… Clara and her sons are mine.

My Review:

Every Tear You Cry (Redeeming Love, Book 4)Every Tear You Cry by J.E. Parker

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

JE Parker has done it again! Another gut-wrenching, tear-inducing story that leaves you with smiles at the end. Clara and Brantley’s story is a roller coaster of emotions, both good and bad, that leaves you with a feeling of hope.

Clara has been through the worst of the worst, and come out with scars, inside and out. Her past can’t come back to get her, but it is still haunting her, still controlling her, still keeping her from happiness. Her strength is immeasurable, her love unending. She is determined to put her kids first, to do everything in her power to keep them from getting hurt again. Even if that is blinding her to possibilities that could make them all happy.

Brantley is, at first, convinced that he has to stay away from Clara, convinced that she isn’t what he, or his daughter, need in their lives. He, too, has a past that blinds him to possibilities, keeps him from accepting what is in front of him.

This story is amazing! There were so many emotions, so many tears, that I felt exhausted when I was done. But at the same time, the feelings of hope and love and happiness kept the book from being too heavy. There was just the right balance. Along with the tears, there were also plenty of laughs, lots of love and family. This is another one of those books, the kind that can be read as a stand alone, but the series is so fabulous, you really shouldn’t! Amazing story, amazing series!
