Out of the Blue by Lila Rose

Blurb:

At forty, Lan Davis is looking for his damned picket fence and 2.5 kids. What he doesn’t expect is instead of a wife in the picture, his mind keeps conjuring up images of two men. One, his partner in the force, who is as straight as they came, the other an ex, who he’d hurt but never forgot.

After an incident leaves Lan injured, the two men rally around him… only maybe they shouldn’t have. It seems a medicated Lan is a truthful one.

Parker Wilding is pissed at the world. His anger builds when his partner refuses medical care after an attack. Instead, Lan entrusts his neighbour to take care of him—a guy Parker doesn’t trust. While he’s aware they share a history,
when the past is revealed, the truth shocks the hell out of him.

Being emotionally crushed ten years ago, Easton Ravel hoped he would never have to see the man who broke him again. Hope is a fickle b*itch. And now he’s not sure how to handle being face-to-face with the man he once loved. Add in the mix the annoying, testy Parker, and Easton finds his limits are pushed.

Just not in the way he thought they would be.

What happens next sure does come out of the blue.

My Review:

Out of the BlueOut of the Blue by Lila Rose

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Another amazing story in the Hawks MC series, Out of the Blue is part of the Caroline Springs Charter. While the characters aren’t members, they are closely tied to the MC. And I know I’ve been looking forward to their story for a long time! Out of the Blue is a story that you will totally regret not reading.

Lan is a detective. He is also a friend/family member of Hawks MC. He is always there when they need him. But he still holds part of himself separate from them, there are parts of who he is that no one knows. There are things in his past that he regrets, things he would do differently, if he could. Parker is the enigma in this story. He is the one that no one knows anything about, even his partner. He lets no one get close, lets no one behind the shields that he holds high. Easton reminds me of a tamer version of Julian! Loveable, loyal, caring. I just can’t say enough about how much I loved Easton! He really ties the entire story together!

These guys had a difficult path to tread, and many things stood in their way, including their own thoughts and misgivings. I wasn’t sure how it was possible for things to have a positive outcome, because it could have easily turned out different. This author has a way of making you guess what is coming next, even if you are pretty sure of the endgame, your predictions are never even close to what actually happens! Just when you let your guard down, something crazy happens, completely out of the Blue, and your heart is pounding again!

This author is one that I one-click with no question. I love the Hawks series, as well as everything else that she’s written. I also consider myself to be a pretty open minded reader. I’ve read and loved all kinds of books. Bikers, Rockers, Sports, Menage, MM, MMF, MFM. I’ll read most anything. But I had to stop and think about this one! A MMM menage book?!? What in the world! But I’ve read an MM book, as well as a MMF book by this author, and know how much I loved them. And I’ve been looking forward to the story of these characters for such a long time! So, I dived right on in. I’m so glad that I didn’t let those pesky doubts stop me! While a step outside of my comfort zone initially, this book was a fabulous addition to the Hawks world.
