Pulse (Rockstar #15) by Anne Mercier
Jesse and Lucy need a break. They look and feel like cast members from The Walking Dead, and I’m not talking about the humans. It’s only an overnight break, but it’s exactly what they need.
Cage and Sera attend a charity function and run into an unwelcome enemy. They spend a special night together before they get to work on a plan of how to keep one of their own safe.
My rating: 5 of 5 stars
I’m going to start with saying that this is not a complete story, and should not be read with that expectation. This is a glimpse into the lives of those in the Rockstar world. This glimpse focuses on Jesse and Lucy and Sera and Cage. There are some big surprises, some hints at things I’m sure are going to factor into future books! (I’m not going to say anything further than that, except she dropped a bomb that I never saw coming!)
This little glimpse into the world of the Rockstar crew definitely whet my appetite for more, and makes me want to go back and re-read the previous books! I love Falling Down and Blush, and all of those that come along with them. The easy relationship between Jesse and Lucy and the sincere love between Sera and Cage definitely bring out the feelings in each book in the series and Pulse is no exception. The chemistry doesn’t diminish, but rather stays true with each book, building and growing stronger. The author is able to convey that emotion, causing the reader (definitely me!) to become invested in the lives of the characters. I don’t think I will ever get enough of BFD!
